Road Trip Day Two

Made it to Springfield, Ohio today, almost to the western edge of the state.

We aren't pushing for miles every day. We stop at 3 p.m. each day. We are taking our time. Jim is doing all the driving, with the heated seat on for his sore back and the air-conditioning on to cool him off.

His genius was to cross Pennsylvania on I 80 and so we avoided yesterday's torrential rain that flooded the state just south of 80 and drenched the midAtlantic area. We stayed totally dry.

In fact we've had beautiful weather, cool dry air and little traffic. It still looks like Connecticut, all green and hilly and treed, although past Columbus it is now flattening out a lot.

Snacks are holding out pretty well.

Are we there yet?
