Travel in These Times

We're traveling in California now, seeing family. We'll be gone for a while.

Air travel, crowded planes, busy airports, restaurants, rental cars, touching things, being near people . . .

We are apparently the target group for this virus: we are in our 70s, I have had lifelong (controlled) asthma, and we're passing through busy travel hubs. Is this wise?

All the caution seems overblown and out of proportion. And yet, the abundance of caution in cancelling group gatherings seems to be the one way to contain the oddly unpredictable spread of this virus.

I'll be back soon -- healthy, happy to have spent time with family, and ready to get my gardens going. And I will have very, very clean hands.
