A Sudden Turn of Events
Well, this happened quickly.
See the gray banner in the lower left of this screen shot I took from the real estate listing for our house?
We got an offer, accepted their deposit and signed the offer papers. Closing will be August 2.
We got zero showings after the initial flush of interest when it was first listed. Nothing at all for two weeks, nobody. The news about Aetna leaving the state, our state budget woes, and declining population were all working against rosy expectations about real estate here. So I had discounted the possibility of a quick sale, and thought we were in for a loooong summer.
Now we have to find a home in Santa Fe, for real. By August. It's going to be a busy few months.
