Dating Profile

My single son told me his online dating profile includes the fact that he gardens. 

He said when women chat with him they'll ask, oh what are you growing? They expect to hear "tomatoes" or maybe corn or peppers, or -- this being Denver -- cannabis.

He gets a kick out of answering, "oh, I just put in a Kintzley's Ghost honeysuckle and my Karl Foerster grasses are really doing well. I had to replace the caryopteris, but the deutzias came through winter okay. I grow sedums and lavender and hesperaloe, aquilegias and white echinaceas. I just planted a Prairifire crabapple if you want to see it".

He enjoys upending expectations, and he enjoys showing off. I don't think it's helped his love life one bit, but I have to say I got a kick out of hearing about it.
