Inevitable

 Oh crap. A cough, some aches, feeling unwell . . . and then a positive covid test.

This new variant is highly transmissible. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, but I think I picked it up on the garden tour. There were 50 of us on a bus, mingling and milling about at each stop. 

We all wore masks. But it was a crowd and many on the tour were tourists who had recently flown to Santa Fe. And the masks came off to sample refreshments at each stop and not everyone was very diligent about constantly wearing them, and I guess this was inevitable.

It was the first public crowd, other than family group gatherings, that I have been in for over two years.
